Executive Summary

Globally, Muslim populations is over 1.8 billion with Halal food products reaching USD 580 billion and non-food products approximately USD 1.8 trillion. Halal foods are not only consumed by Muslim but also non-Muslim. Halal food is the key to curb global food safety issues as Halal indicates the hygiene and safety of the food consumed.

The Modern Agriculture & Halal International Economic Zone (MAHIEZ) is our strategic partner in promoting business opportunities between G to G bilateral trade between China and Malaysian entrepreneurs. This partnership is also to create more productive joint ventures and collaborations between Malaysia and China with special emphasis on developing sales, marketing and distribution channel for Halal products in both country.

Hence, Halal food industry will grow significantly each year and become the global food consumption.
MAHIEZTM is designed based on 4 main pillars of strengths:

(1) Global Halal Industry
(2) Modern Organic Agriculture
(3) Holistic Education Rooted on Sustainability
(4) Natural & Agricultural Tourism

MAHIEZ captured the significant market regions as in the ancient Silk Road (Eurasian) and positions itself in the global Halal market with 3 interconnected prime growth nodes creating the “Global Halal Trade Initiative” as the 21th century Silk Road riding on O2O (online to offline) e-commerce platform. The 3 prime nodes are MAHIEZ @ Malaysia as the Halal manufacturing and initiatives, MAHIEZ @ China as the resourcing and manufacturing base and MAHIEZ @ Bahrain as the distribution center and Islamic finance. Combining these 3 prime nodes, the targeted markets reached to Central Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle East, Europe (include Russia) and North Africa covering 2/3 of the global Halal food market valued approximately USD 375 billion.

MAHIEZ will be the consultant, mediator and facilitator for the bilateral trade between China and Malaysian Government. We would be partnering with other relevant organizations from the government agencies to educate the SME sector on the opportunities in trading internationally and using an online halal trading platform that is connected to over 250,000 merchants internationally. The effort to promote the development of SMEs and trade would complement the Government effort to enhance the revenues and international reach of SMEs in Malaysia.
